Sauerts Hof
Overview
Sauerts Hof is a working farm in Bissendorf, run by friends of mine. Ponies, cattle, sheep, and chickens live on the yard. People come for riding lessons with small children, farm birthdays, carriage rides and a week-long driving course, a farm shop that stays open on trust, a seasonal box of eggs and produce, and contracting work in the fields around the village.
I designed and built the site at sauerts-hof.de. It is the public face of the farm: the offers, the next dates, and a way to sign up. The homepage opens on a drawn yard, the coop, the sheep, and the cows, under the line they use for the place: Wo Vielfalt auf Herzblut trifft.
The Challenge
A visitor usually arrives with one job in mind. A parent wants the next children's date and a form they can finish on a phone. Someone booking the driving course needs the week, the price, the deposit, and what the carriage license adds. The shop runs on an honesty box and stays open around the clock, so that page explains the shelves.
The dates move through the year, and the price in the form has to match the email that follows. Past dates leave the list on their own. Sold-out dates stay visible and refuse a booking. The server quotes a single date, a holiday package, a six-part course, or the driving course with the license added, and both the guest and the farm receive that quote.

Results
The site is live at sauerts-hof.de. Visitors can read what the farm offers, see the next dates, and register for a course or a farm experience. The farm receives the signup by email, with the price already worked out.
Building it for friends meant following how the farm actually runs: a shop that trusts the person who walks in, a driving course with a deposit and a license, and a homepage that looks like the yard.
